A Full Life
agency began as a non-profit organization in September of 1997. It grew out of a peer group consisting of individuals & families
who are advocates of children with disabilities. A member of this
peer group, Don Gross, is the owner of a Full Life Agency.
His
son Monty has Angelman’s syndrome, which is a developmental
disability.
Don, a
businessman and consumer of In-Home Health Care felt that he
could develop an agency that would do everything an agency was
supposed to. Don has the philosophy that “Happy Employees Are
Caring Employees.” (He began A Full Life Agency in the Coeur
d’ Alene area based on that philosophy).
It did not take
long before the elderly population heard about the great care
that the children with disabilities were receiving and wanted A
Full Life Agency to provide support for them as well. One year later, the agency
had grown to approximately 60 clients, and Don found there was a
need to hire Area Supervisors.
The supervisors
for A Full Life Agency inform the community about the services
that are available to them, how to get these services, and can
even assist in the application process, if needed. The
supervisor’s also monitor the care that is provided by A Full
Life employees through constant involvement with their clients
and through routine visits to the homes. Most importantly,
because the Supervisor’s develop relationships with their
clients through the development of the In-Home care process,
they are able to step-in when a regular provider is ill or on
vacation. The supervisor already knows their client’s day-to-day
care needs and habits, allowing clients to have a continuation
of care by a provider who is someone they know, trust & are
comfortable with.
We now provide
services throughout Idaho, Northwestern Montana, Northern
Nevada.
